We are a local organization in Lakewood Ranch, FL, ran and supported by the hockey loving families right here in our community. The MBHL was created for the community, by the community. Our mission is to foster great sportsmanship and teamwork, and ensure each child has a fun and rewarding experience.

Bradley Gustafson was born in Quincy, IL and raised in Cumming, GA.  Growing up, there wasn’t a sport he didn’t play or that his parents weren’t coaching. Now having 2 children of his own, Lucas, 7, and daughter Evelyn, 4, Bradley can be seen coaching every team that his son plays in. Bradley and Lucas share the same love of hockey, but finding a rink, teaching Lucas to skate, and schedule constraints made it difficult to find a league. “I wanted Lucas to be able to play in a hockey league, without having to worry about trying to learn to skate at the same time. So we would just go out to the LWR rink almost every night and play ball hockey together. But, Lucas would always ask to play hockey with his friends like he does in every other sport. We’re so excited to not only see Lucas go out and play with other kids his age, but to give all of the other athletes in the community a chance to play as well.”
